Massage Techniques Offered
Swedish Relaxation Massage- This Massage is included in every massage. This techniques is crucial to warming up muscles prior to more intense massage techniques. This can also be a great way to help warm up your horse before exercise and is beneficial in preventing sore muscles after exercise.
Shiatsu Massage- This massage shares a philosophy with acupuncture. This technique uses the foundation massage strokes along the energy meridians of the horse. This massage can relax a nervous horse, ease minor pain, and can even ease post colic pains.
Myofascial Massage- This massage technique addresses the myofascial system of the body and the muscles that are influenced by the fascial system. By using this technique, it increases range of motion and eases pain and discomfort. It can be used to help loosen scar tissue allowing for more movement.
Aromatherapy- This therapy uses natural oils derived from plants. The oils can be used either topically (placed directly on the skin) , aromatic (the horse smells the oils), or internally (ingested).
TMJ Massage- This massage is used commonly for equines that may have teeth problems, act head shy, constantly shake their head, and may refuse to take a bit.
Supportive Therapies Offered
The supportive therapies I offer are heat therapy, hydro therapy, or cold therapy. I will soon be offering red light/ laser therapy also.
Each individual massage will take no longer than 45 minutes to an hour
$60 per horse with free evaluation and consultation
Each evaluation will determine which therapy techniques the equine will benefit the most from.
